Versions

Versions is a powerful feature built into Webpop. Versions makes it possible to create an exact copy of the whole directory structure that makes up the design of a website. Each version has it's own url where you can preview the site or compare with other versions. Creating a new version is instantaneous.

  1. Click on the gear icon located at the upper right of the File Explorer column.
  2. From the menu select “Duplicate Version name”
  3. A modal window will appear with a prompt to enter the name of the new version.  Enter a new name and click “Duplicate”.

At this point the new version you created is now active within the File Explorer. You can change between versions by clicking on the version name at the top of the File Explorer column.  The Version drop-down menu displays all the versions you have created for the site. One version will have "published" next to the version name. This indicates the version of the site that is or will be live on the web.
To Publish a different version, make sure the version you want to publish is active. Click on the gear icon located at the upper right of the File Explorer column and select "Publish" from the drop down menu.
